A photo exhibition featuring the beautiful landscapes of East China's Zhejiang province was held at the University of Namibia (UNAM), Windhoek, capital of Namibia, on June 20.

The exhibition, co-organized by the Information Office of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, the Namibia-China Alumni Association and the Confucius Institute of UNAM, offered visitors a glimpse of the culture and economic development of the coastal province, as well as the achievements Zhejiang has made over the past few decades.

Professor Lazarus Hangula, vice chancellor of UNAM, admired the exhibition and recalled the time when he visited Zhejiang in 2006.

The province is a lens through which you can see the potential of China's development, according to Hangula, adding that he welcomed the cultural communication between the two peoples, as he thought it will provide a great opportunity for Namibian people to draw lessons from the rapid development of China.

"I spent my university years in Zhejiang. It's like a second home to me. These beautiful photos remind me of those wonderful memories," said a member from the Namibia-China Alumni Association, who was very happy to see the photo exhibition held in Namibia.

It is hoped that the exhibition would serve as a bridge to help Namibian people have a better understanding of Zhejiang and China as a whole.
