Zhejiang builds logistics park in Czech Republic
According to an agreement signed on June 29, Zhejiang has commenced construction on a logistics park in the Czech Republic.
The park, with a planned area of 100,000 square meters, is close to Prague, the capital, and is expected to offer convenient transportation. Renowned e-commerce and logistics giants Amazon and 4PX World Express are among companies located nearby.
A variety of services relating to cross-border e-commerce will be provided at the park, including customs clearance, storage and transfer. Zhejiang plans to develop the park into a European storage and logistics center for imports and exports.
"Cross-border e-commerce is developing fast and the demand for logistics and storage services increases every year," said an official in charge of the project, adding that the industrial park will significantly decrease times for product delivery and after-sales service.
The logistics park is set to serve the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe cargo line, which departs from Yiwu, the world's largest small commodities market, and winds through Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region before heading into Europe.
