A group of foreign musicians entertained villagers from Songyang, Zhejiang province on July 3, with a night of live music.
At an old-style homestay with an elevation of over 650 meters, the hall was crowded with curious villagers eager to see the international group of musicians play their music. Nine musicians from six countries and regions, as well as some villagers who can play musical instruments, played on the night.
The music varied from a group of foreign saxophonists, a 14-year-old Chinese boy named Chen Kexin who showed his talent in playing the flute, and another Songyang villager named Bao Xinwang who played music on an erhu, a Chinese traditional two-stringed bowed instrument.
The concert was not the only event of this kind that has been held in Songyang. In recent years, the county has attached great importance to cultural activities and has organized a series of cultural performances for villagers.
