Direct flight route to link Hangzhou and Moscow
Capital Airlines will begin a non-stop service between Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province and Moscow, Russia on July 31.
The route is the first regular direct link between Hangzhou and Russia. It is expected to further boost Sino-Russian economic and cultural ties.
Flights are scheduled to depart from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Russia has become an increasingly popular destination for Chinese people's outbound travels in recent years. According to data released by Russia's statistics bureau, 216,000 tourists from China visited Russia in the first quarter of 2018, the most from any country in the Asian-Pacific region.
On the back of the successful holding of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Russia is expected to keep increasing.
