China's biggest cashmere yarns exporter organized a fashion show in New York City, the United States on July 18, with the participation of over 400 American fashion insiders.
Consinee Group, a Ningbo-based company specializing in luxury yarns, displayed 99 cashmere sweaters made of its self-produced yarns at the show in a bid to demonstrate its superior manufacturing capability in the sector.
"We hope to offer people a new angle when looking at the traditional cashmere materials," said Yu Jia, director of the fashion show.
Consinee Group was founded in 1999 and after nearly 20 years of development, it has become China's largest exporter for cashmere yarns. Currently, it produces almost 10,000 metric tons of luxury yarns and fabrics every year, including 2,000 tons made of pure cashmere. Its yarns have been applied in the clothes of some of the world's top fashion brands such as Chanel and Burberry.
"In the past two decades, we have been working hard to improve the quality of our products and we believe with constant efforts, we will further expand the cooperation with overseas companies," said Xue Jingli, chairman of Consinee.
