Wenzhou issues its first practicing license to foreign expat
The civic center in Wenzhou, China's Zhejiang province recently issued its first practicing license to a foreign expat thanks to the streamlined service procedures of the "At Most One Visit" scheme initiated by the province in 2017.
Alfredo Rosati, an Italian doctor who now works in Wenzhou, received his short-term medical license within 10 minutes, which used to take up to 15 working days.
The processing includes submitting an application form, document examination, formal approval and making the permits.
Impressed by the experience, Rosati gave the thumbs up for the center, saying that the procedures were easy and fast without extra formalities and paperwork.
Since May, a total of 409 social affairs of 22 departments in the city have been placed at the one service window in the civic center, which was initiated with the aim to cut down on red tape and provide better services for the public.
