A delegation dispatched by the committee of 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games is now inspecting and learning from the organization of the event's 2018 edition in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.

The delegation, made up of 16 staff members from different departments, began their trip Aug 19. Their main task on the first day was to observe the cultural activities and atmosphere in Jakarta.

"The volunteers and security guards are all friendly and kind," said Du Zuofeng, deputy director of the committee of 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and also the leader of the delegation from Hangzhou. He was impressed by the security work in Jakarta which he thought was well organized and will ensure an orderly sports event.

This is the first delegation from Hangzhou to visit Indonesia and will be followed by another 20 during the 2018 Asian Games. They will fully look into the opening and closing ceremonies, the organization of competitions, media services, information technologies and logistics support in Indonesia

"We will learn from the experiences and lessons the two host cities have when preparing the event and think about where we can seek improvements," said Du.
