Young entrepreneurs from Zhejiang province and Hong Kong shared their insights into entrepreneurship and discussed opportunities for the two regions' further cooperation at a forum in Hangzhou on Sept 20.
At the forum between Zhejiang and Hong Kong young entrepreneurs, six guests, including five second-generations of entrepreneurs, discussed inheritance and innovation, what they've learned from their parents and the cooperation possibilities between young people from the two regions.
They reached a consensus that there's still enormous potential for bilateral exchanges and cooperation and a brilliant future can be achieved if young entrepreneurs partner up.
Albert Chuang, general manager of Chuang's Consortium International Limited in Hong Kong, hailed the discussion a beneficial collision of the spirit of Zhejiang businesspeople and the Lion Rock Spirit, a phrase referring to the spirit of hard work and perseverance of generations of Hong Kong residents.
Witman Hung, director of Wit's Technology (HK) Company Limited as well as president of Hong Kong's Internet Professional Association, started his internet career in 1987 and in 2009, he changed his concentration to focus on the integrated development of traditional industries and the internet sector in Hong Kong while at the same time, East China's Zhejiang began to make such attempts as well.
"In regards to how to enhance the productivity of traditional industries with the power of the internet, I see gratifying results in Zhejiang as the province has gained progress in these industries' space for development and scale of production," said Hung.
