A cultural exhibition named "Silk, Tea and Celadon: Intercultural Dialogue on the Silk Road" opened in Muscat, capital of the Arab country Oman on Oct 29, on the sideline of the Fourth Meeting of the UNESCO Silk Roads Online Platform International Network.

Organized by the culture and tourism bureau of Zhejiang and supported by China National Silk Museum, China National Tea Museum and the government of Zhejiang's Longquan city, one of China's production hotspots for celadon crafts, the exhibition showcases the art techniques and stories of the three Chinese cultural icons along the ancient Silk Road and sheds light on the active role that the Silk Road has played in intercultural exchanges.

Silk, tea and celadon were significant to China's cultural communications with the outside world in history. Zhejiang province has been the main production base and an important exporter of the three kinds of products since ancient times. At the exhibition, distinctive silk and celadon products from Zhejiang, as well as an on-site demonstration of tea art are on display to visitors.

The exhibition will move on to the United Arab Emirates in December.
