Ningbo has been enjoying closer tourism ties with European countries in recent years, with an exchange conference on tourism cooperation between the city and Croatia taking place on Nov 22 in Zagreb, capital of Croatia, being the latest cementing of their relations. 

The 2018 Ningbo Croatia Tourism Cooperation Exchange Conference saw over 30 officials and businessmen from country's tourism circle, together with a delegation of 12 representatives from Ningbo. 

Wang Renyuan, deputy secretary general of the municipal government of Ningbo, noted the solid cooperation foundations between the two sides, who are important regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and the great potential in their tourism cooperation thanks to the annual China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo in Ningbo. 

Wang extended a wish for Croatia to have a better understanding of the city through the conference, and help promote diverse, multi-layered and multi-dimension cooperation between the two sides. 

In addition, representatives from Ningbo promoted some scenic spots in the city at the conference, and answered questions from Croatian guests. 

An official from the tourism authority of Croatia expressed a longing for visiting the city after watching a video clip of Ningbo, and expressed his confidence in the future cooperation.
