Changxing Economic and Technological Development Zone
Changxing Economic and Technological Development Zone (CETDZ) was established in 1992 in Changxing country, Zhejiang province, and was approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level development zone in 1994, with a planned area of 19 square kilometers. In 2010, it was upgraded as a national-level development zone by the State Council.
Located at the traffic hub of the Yangzte River Delta, CETDZ is within 90 minutes' drive of several major cities in the delta, including Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing.
CETDZ focuses on the facility manufacturing, household appliances, new energy and textile industries. It has been making efforts to advance its industrial structure to boost the development of emerging industries.
So far, over 10 high-tech enterprises and 10 high-tech projects have been put into operation in CETDZ. The whole high-tech industry contributes 80 percent of the zone’s total industrial volume.
From January to August 2018, the area signed 68 projects with total investment of more than 86.64 billion yuan ($12.58 billion), and attracted foreign capital of $161.38 million. The zone achieved GDP of 30.66 billion yuan and total fiscal revenue of 6.41 billion yuan, for year-on-year growth of 8.5 percent and 20.2 percent.
