Over 30 foreign students from Zhejiang A&F University experienced traditional New Year celebrations by participating in cultural activities such as painting landscapes, tasting local snacks and enjoying distinctive operas in Suichang county, Zhejiang province, Dec 31.

Since 2018, the county has been presenting to foreigners the unique charms of traditional Chinese culture as reflected in clothing, food, lifestyle and transport through the hosting of activities featuring its brilliant scenery and culture.

Inviting international students to tour Suichang is an effective way to build a bridge to the outside world, said Qiu Gensong, director of the county's tourism commission.

Next, they will further explore and integrate traditional and folk cultures to refine the travel products and routes for foreign visitors, Qiu said.
