Xiaoshan Linjiang High-tech Industrial Park
Xiaoshan Linjiang High-tech Industrial Park was founded in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang province, in March 2003. In 2015, the State Council officially approved the upgrading of the park to a national-level high-tech industrial development zone.
Covering a planned area of 3.55 square kilometers, Xiaoshan Linjiang High-tech Industrial Park has maintained an economic growth rate of more than 20 percent for most of those years.
The park is committed to promoting the development of local high-tech industries based on advanced manufacturing technologies, and further bolstering the transformation and upgrading of Zhejiang's private economy.
It has gathered high-end industries, including new energy vehicles manufacturing, robots, modern logistics, special fibers and new composite materials, electronic information and the internet of things. The new energy vehicle industry is expected to become a 100-billion-yuan ($14.79 billion) industry within five years.
By the end of 2018, Linjiang High-tech Industrial Park had attracted 85 national high-tech enterprises and many major automobile enterprises such as Geely Automobile, Changan Ford, Lincoln and Guangzhou Chuanqi, and introduced nearly 100 parts and components manufacturing enterprises such as Magna and Lear of the United States.
The GDP of the zone increased from 21.1 billion yuan in 2014 to 29.7 billion yuan in 2017, an increase of 41 percent. Total fiscal revenue reached 8.72 billion yuan in 2017 and the proportion of added value of high-tech industries among industries above designated sizes increased from 33.1 percent in 2015 to 58.7 percent.
