Recently, a letter from Isabel da Costa Ferreira, the wife of Timor-Leste's prime minister, reached Ningbo Polytechnic. The letter expressed da Costa Ferreira's appreciation for the college's efforts to cultivate talents for Timor-Leste.
"As the graduates return home, their life enters a new stage," da Costa Ferreira wrote. "They are improving their life and working through the advanced knowledge and skills learnt in China, contributing to the development of the nation and their family. Based on this success, we hope that our cooperation will continue in the following years."
A total of 45 students from Timor-Leste went to Ningbo Polytechnic to take a one-year non-degree training course in Dec 2017. The project included two seminars, one on machinery repair and the other on tourism services.
