Lou Hongliang, a renowned cooking teacher from Jinhua, Zhejiang province stayed in Rwanda from January 2018 to this March to support the vocational education in Musanze, a district in the Northern province of the African country.

Musanze Polytechnic is a China-aided vocational school in the country. In July 2017, an international college was established under the joint efforts of Jinhua Polytechnic and the African school. At the invitation of the Rwanda government, three teachers from Jinhua were dispatched to help train faculty members and educate students there. Lou was one of them.

The cooking teacher's first impression of the country was the great importance it has attached to education, which was reflected in its advanced construction and people's enthusiasm.

"Teachers and students there have strong passion and eagerness to study," he added.
