Starting time: recent years
Introduction:
"Digital Economy" was hailed as the "No 1 Project" in the development of local industries in 2018. The province set the goal that by 2022 the economic aggregate of local digital industries will exceed 4trillion yuan ($595.84 billion). It wants to become a national demonstration zone for the industry.
Achievements:
1. People's smart lives
Smart applications and services are now at the fingertips of the people of Zhejiang. With only one identity card and one smartphone, people can register in hospitals, and pay their utility bills and traffic violation fines. All of the administrative procedures can be dealt with online, and 63.6 percent of livelihood issues can be resolved with a single card.
2. Continuously improved business environment
The "At Most One Visit" administrative reform in Zhejiang requires the approval processes before a company's project starts construction to be finished with at most one visit and at most 100 days. "Standard land" accounts for 80.1 percent of the provincial and above level platforms' newly-approved industrial lands. The opening time to normalize companies has been reduced to four working days.
3. Impressive economic data
In 2018, the industrial added value of the core industries of the digital economy gained a year-on-year growth of 13.1 percent. A total of 66 no-operator control workshops and 120,000 cloud companies have been newly added. A significant number of high-tech enterprises were hatched in the province, including 3,187 high-tech companies, 10,539 technological small and medium enterprises and 28 listed companies.
