Forum to deepen China-Kazakhstan coop held at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics
Li said that the forum will further promote bilateral economic and social studies, and that the "Belt and Road" Educational Internationalization Industry-University-Research Cooperation Alliance, established at the forum, will not only strengthen educational cooperation among member units and individuals within the alliance, but also promote cultural exchange between countries involved in the initiative.
Professor Tazhikenova Sapiya, dean of the School of Economics of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University of Kazakhstan, pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Kazakhstan and China, bilateral relations and trade have been raised to a new level, and that within the framework of the initiative, there is great potential for economic and trade exchange between the two countries.
Professor Aday Seken of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University of Kazakhstan expressed his belief that the future cooperation between China and Kazakhstan may be carried out in five areas: energy, manufacturing, economy and trade, agriculture and tourism.
Professor Wang Xilong, professor of the Kazakhstan center of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, pointed out that Kazakhstan is the most influential among the five central Asian countries along the Silk Road. He added that future exchange and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan depends mostly on human resources, and that the Kazakhstan research center of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics can make a big difference in the training of personnel.
Professor Yu Muhong, dean of the School of International Education and director of the Kazakhstan Research Center of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, shared the history of cooperation and research between the university and Kazakhstan. He added that the center will help promote cooperation between Zhejiang province and the five central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan.
