More than 60 entrepreneurs from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan took part in a forum held in Hangzhou on Nov 12 to discuss entrepreneurship and promoting Hangzhou's development.

The forum was set to facilitate young entrepreneurs from the three aforementioned areas to better understand Hangzhou and explore opportunities in the city.

Yu Yongming, deputy director of the Hangzhou department of united front work, said that there are many areas where Hangzhou can cooperate with Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

He expressed hope that young people from the three areas would make contributions to the stability and prosperity of the three places, as well as the peaceful reunification of the Chinese nation.

Yu also invited them to Hangzhou for investment and to seek opportunities.

At the forum, officials from the Hangzhou investment promotion bureau briefed attendees on the industrial development of Hangzhou.

Five representatives including Shen Hui, the founding president of the Hangzhou Hong Kong Youth Association, shared their sentiments and viewpoints regarding starting up businesses.

The forum, which took place after the second China International Import Expo (CIIE), was sponsored by the Hangzhou department of united front work, and was hosted by the Hangzhou investment promotion bureau, the Hangzhou committee of the Communist Youth League of China, and the Binjiang district department of united front work.
