An exhibition featuring more than 80 photos taken by members of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and PSA China recently opened in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province.

More than half of the photos were taken by Chinese photographers and have won awards at multiple international photography competitions organized by PSA China.

"The exhibition is designed to promote photography as a tool for exchange and understanding between China and the rest of the world," said Deng Daduan, chairman of PSA China.

PSA China, founded in 2009, is currently one of the most influential photography organizations in China, with more than 1,000 members.

It has been holding international photography competitions for 14 consecutive years in order to promote Chinese photography around the world.

The photos being exhibited represent the progress that Chinese photographers have made over the past decade. They have been shown in Beijing, Hebei and Shanghai since Aug 6, and will be permanently displayed in Shaoxing.
