A total of 407 companies from 57 countries and regions are showcasing their products at the China Yiwu Imported Commodities Autumn Fair in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, which opened on Nov 13.

The exhibition, which will run until Nov 27, focuses on goods for everyday consumption, such as home furnishings, baby products, cosmetics, alcoholic drinks, and food.

The fair attracted 20 exhibitors who showcased their products to global buyers at the second China International Import Expo CIIE in Shanghai and are looking to continue their winning streak in Yiwu, the largest wholesale market for small commodities in Asia.

Seven company booths at the Malaysian national pavilion are displaying latex pillows, white coffee and durians, in addition to promoting popular tourist destinations.

Wine importers and agents from more than 10 major wine producing countries, such as France, Australia, Chile, Spain and Italy, have formed display groups to attend the exhibition.

For the first time, the exhibition has a British national pavilion. The China-Britain Business Council, together with eight well-known brands from the UK, are on display, including umbrella brand Fulton and supermarket Waitrose.

On Nov 13, visitors were greeted with Scottish bagpipe performances and invited to taste English afternoon tea and Scottish whiskey.
