Zhejiang's foreign trade expected to hit 3 trillion yuan

Foreign trade in Zhejiang province is expected to hit 3 trillion yuan ($432.03 billion) in 2019, according to a business meeting held by local authorities on Jan 7.
Over the past year, the province has not only implemented 20 trade policies issued by the central government, but also launched another 20 measures to stabilize its foreign trade.
It has also established a special work taskforce coordinating different departments to boost foreign trade.
In addition, the province further expanded its market by organizing 36 exhibitions overseas and accelerated the building of 27 overseas warehouses, eight overseas operation centers and 664 overseas marketing networks.
Its trade with Africa, Association of Southeast Asian Nations and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative all grew by more than 10 percent in 2019.
According to the province's department of commerce, Zhejiang's foreign trade growth was higher than the national average level last year and made significant contributions to the nation's exports.
