Zhejiang province recently took a series of measures to prevent imported COVID-19 cases as the epidemic gets more serious overseas.

The province launched an online platform to collect information about overseas Chinese, foreign students, and other foreigners planning to come to Zhejiang so that local authorities can make the proper preparations before they arrive.

The province also launched an international edition of its health code to collect information about people arriving from overseas. Around 59,000 people had applied for the code as of March 18.

In addition, the province established a database of people with a high risk of infection or who are coming from places that have been severely affected by the outbreak.
