Zhejiang province will develop more than 100 large-scale projects to boost its transportation sector in the coming three decades, according to a recent conference held by local authorities.

The projects, worth around 3.6 trillion yuan ($509.11 billion) in total, include a coastal high-speed railway, an intelligent highway encircling Hangzhou Bay, an airport hub, and a Shanghai-Hangzhou maglev train, among others.

Zhejiang aims to shorten travel time between any two cities in the province to no more than one hour by 2035, and ensure that deliveries take no more than two hours within the province, no more than three hours from Zhejiang to other provinces in the Yangtze River Delta region, no more than one day to any other area in China, no more than two days to surrounding countries, and no more than three days to any major city in the world. 

By the year 2055, the province aims to build a modern and highly-competitive transportation system to support its economic development.
