No 6 Junior High School Restaurant is legendary among Zhoushan natives. As its name indicates, the restaurant is located next to the No 6 Junior High School.

There's always a long line during dinner and it's often hard to find a seat.

Pickled crabs with salt water, with their tender crab meat and crab cream, are one of the restaurant's main specialties.

Yancang Restaurant

Yancang Restaurant has a history of more than 20 years, and its food is considered extremely high-quality among locals.

Just a bowl of braised dried fish and pork with red oil and sauce usually enables a customer to eat two bowls of cooked rice.

Yancang Restaurant does not serve overly fancy dishes, but rather will remind you of the things mom used to make.

Its owner insists on the use of fresh ingredients. Beef entrails are rinsed very carefully and then sliced after boiling them.

When customers place an order, the owner just stir-fries some beef entrails with fresh greens, red chili, and garlic cloves.

Ruihe Bakery is a traditional bakery that originated in the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It makes dozens types of pastries every day.

Tiaozigao, or glutinous rice flour cakes, are its most popular dish due to its fragrant smell and soft texture.
