Established in 2000, Haining Warp Knitting Industrial Park was upgraded to a provincial development zone by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006.

The industrial park has a planned area of 21.48 square kilometers and has so far developed 5.7 sq km.

More than 1,000 companies are operating in the park, nearly 80 percent of which are engaged in warp knitting and relevant sectors.

The annual output of the warp knitting sector accounts for 70 percent of the annual industrial output in Haining and 20 percent of that in China.

Leading industries: Whole warp knitting industrial chain (including raw materials, weaving, deep processing, and finished products), electronic information, and high-end equipment manufacturing.
