Hundreds of international students are set to present a Chinese cultural extravaganza in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 11.

The expat performers are currently studying at 13 Zhejiang-based universities, including Zhejiang University, Communication University of Zhejiang, Zhejiang A&F University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Zhejiang Normal University, Ningbo University, and Hangzhou Dianzi University.

They will perform dragon dances, songs, recitals, dramas, and more items revolving around Chinese language and culture, most of which are inspired by their experiences in Zhejiang.

The gala will also feature an award ceremony for the "Beautiful Zhejiang" Overseas Students Short Video Contest. The next day, all contest winners and expat performers will be invited to take a trip to Wuzhen, an ancient water town and permanent venue for the World Internet Conference located in the city of Jiaxing.

The gala is part of "Dreams Come True in Zhejiang", an annual cultural exchange series now in its 14th year. Organizers include the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the Information Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government.
