Zhoushan partners with COMAC

Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province established a long-term strategic cooperation relationship with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC) at an online signing ceremony on April 3, local media reported.

Both sides inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement on the day. The agreement states that the two sides will establish a strategic partnership with more cooperation.

According to the statement, Zhoushan and COMAC will promote their cooperation in Boeing-related projects and support the development of the aviation industry in Zhoushan.

They will carry out close cooperation in aviation training and flight expansion in an effort to boost Zhoushan's aviation industry.

Wei Yingbiao, deputy general manager of COMAC, said that the company was attracted by the city's regional advantages and promising prospects. He also expressed confidence in the company's cooperation with Zhoushan.

Zhoushan has maintained a close relationship with COMAC. The completion and delivery center of Boeing 737s, which was invested in by Boeing Co and COMAC, operates in the city.

COMAC is a State-owned aerospace manufacturer established in 2008 in Shanghai, with a registered capital of 19 billion yuan ($2.9 billion). The corporation is a designer and constructor of large passenger aircrafts with capacities of over 150 passengers.
