Taizhou sets up foundation to promote Hehe culture

The China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, the publicity department of the CPC Zhejiang provincial committee, and the Taizhou municipal government have reached a framework agreement to host the upcoming three editions of the Hehe Culture Global Forum.

The agreement was inked on the sidelines of the 2021 Hehe Culture Global Forum which was held online and offline on Dec 9 in Tiantai county, East China's Zhejiang province.

In addition, the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration also reached a strategic cooperation agreement with the publicity department of the CPC Zhejiang provincial committee.

According to the agreement, the two parties will enhance bilateral links in areas including the host of foreign exchange events, copyright exports, public opinion collection and cultivation of translation talents.

Following the signing of the agreements, the plate-unveiling ceremony for the Tiantai Mountain Hehe Culture Foundation was held. The foundation, with an initial fund of 30 million yuan ($4.61 million) from 14 local enterprises, will be dedicated to the promotion of Hehe culture.
