Pujiang hosts 13th Crystal and Glass Industry Fair

The 13th Crystal and Glass Industry Fair was held in Pujiang county, Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 2.

The main exhibition was built in Pujiang Crystal Town and covers over 5,000 square meters. With a total of 71 booths, 48 exhibitors are showcasing new technologies, new products, and new models of the crystal and glass industry. The event aims to promote transformation, upgrading and innovation in the crystal and glass industry, according to organizers.

The fair is made up of three exhibition areas, one for well-known crystal enterprises from home and abroad, one for works by Chinese glass experts, and one for outstanding crystal lamps and lanterns in China.

The second floor of the exhibition hall houses the China Crystal Craft Museum, a live broadcast hall, a lampwork performance area, and a new product launch area.

The fair, which ran until Dec 4, also included launch ceremonies for the crystal and glass industrial brain and various kinds of new productions, matchmaking meetings for buyers, and livestream events on e-commerce platforms.

Pujiang county in Jinhua is known as the "crystal capital of China". Over the past three decades, the county has become the largest collection and distribution center for craft crystal glass raw materials and product processing area in China. Over 75 percent of major crystal glass products such as handcrafted lamps are made in Pujiang.

In 2021, the total industrial output value of Pujiang county's 469 crystal production enterprises exceeded 7.41 billion yuan ($1.06 billion), a year-on-year increase of 21.7 percent.
