A delegation from Yiwu, including government officials and representatives from 34 industrial companies specializing in textiles and apparel, daily necessities, and cosmetics, embarked on a five-day business trip to Japan on Feb 15.

They attended the Shizuoka-Yiwu cosmetics and related industrial communication event in Shizuoka on the morning of Feb 17.

During the event, the delegation learned about the overall industrial development of Shizuoka, especially the cosmetics industry.

Yang Xian, deputy mayor of Yiwu, reviewed the history of exchanges between Zhejiang and Shizuoka and expects more cooperation between the two sides' businesses in the future.

More than 10 Yiwu companies closely related to cosmetics had separate talks with Shizuoka cosmetics-related companies at the event. The two sides discussed further cooperation in cosmetics trade, production, processing, and packaging.

In the afternoon, the Yiwu delegation attended the Zhejiang (Yiwu)-Japan Industrial and Economic Exchange Conference in Osaka.

During the conference, 45 Yiwu business representatives had face-to-face talks with over 100 participating Japanese companies, promoting their products and looking for business opportunities. The event enhanced mutual understanding between Chinese and Japanese companies, laying a solid foundation for seizing new opportunities in Sino-Japanese cooperation.
