The seventh China Ice and Snow Sports Season for People with Impairments kicked off in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Feb 23.

The Skyland ski resort, which is located in Huzhou's Anji county, has been designated the main venue for the event's leg in the southern part of China.

About 300 disabled people from across Zhejiang, including Tan Yujiao, the winner of the women's 67kg weightlifting at the Tokyo Paralympics, participated in the event.

Online sessions aimed at promoting knowledge and skills related to rehabilitation fitness in winter will be staged on the sidelines of the event.

The event, which is jointly organized by the Zhejiang Disabled Persons' Federation and the Hangzhou Asian Para Games organizing committee, is slated to run until the end of March.
