Ningbo sends delegation to intl tourism fair

A delegation from Ningbo, Zhejiang province is attending the 44th Belgrade International Tourism Fair. This is the first time the city has sent a delegation to an overseas tourism fair since 2020.

The fair, which opened in Belgrade, Serbia on Feb 22 and is slated to run until Feb 26, attracted nearly 500 travel agencies from 41 countries and regions. China is the guest of honor at the fair for the first time.

The Chinese delegation is composed of representatives of cultural and tourism companies and officials of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

In addition to tourism products, various artworks featuring intangible cultural heritage techniques, such as Celadon products, tiger-head shoes and gold and lacquered woodcarving works, are displayed at Ningbo's exhibition area.

Ningbo representatives will also promote its cultural and tourism products and seek cooperation through a variety of events held in Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece.

"We intend to promote communication between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries and invite them to attend the China-CEEC Expo, which will be held in Ningbo in May," said an official of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.
