Wenzhou photographer Zheng Jiansheng won silver at the 10th International Abilympics held in Metz, France from March 23 to 26, local media outlets reported.

His indoor photography work, entitled Tour De France, was praised by the French chief judge for its exceptional creativity.

The artwork featured a collection of several discarded cans, bottles, and metal containers artfully arranged with blue and green plastic bottle caps resembling mountains. In front of the bottles, transparent plastic bottles were arranged with miniature bike riders attached to them.

The competition required participants to create original artwork using provided waste materials, a difficult task. It is also worth noting that Zheng's success in the indoor photography category marked China's first win in the competition.

"As the Tour de France bicycle race is world-famous, I thought the judges would appreciate something related to it. Since the materials provided were circular, I simply improvised," said Zheng, who is 47 years old.

Zheng has had a passion for art since he was eight or nine years old. He has participated in many domestic photography competitions since he started taking pictures in 2007. His biggest challenge was breaking through in indoor photography.

Despite his language and communication barriers, Zheng's love for beauty and his perseverance allowed him to excel in photography. Zheng's success in the international competition demonstrated his talent and creativity, inspiring others to follow their passions and overcome obstacles.
