The Shaoxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone has completed 1.02 million orders as of March 25, with the daily average exceeding 12,000 orders, reaching a historic high.
In July 2023, Shaoxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone officially launched the "1210" model for cross-border e-commerce business, allowing more local residents of Shaoxing to enjoy tax benefits on imported consumer goods.
Currently, 31 cross-border e-commerce enterprises have settled in the bonded zone, offering nearly 400 types of cross-border goods, mainly including milk powder, food, cosmetics, and pet food.
Fan Jing, an official with Shaoxing Customs, stated that the "1210" model for cross-border e-commerce, also known as "bonded cross-border retail e-commerce," refers to bulk goods being shipped from overseas to bonded zones or other customs special areas.
After domestic consumers place orders, the goods are then delivered to them. This model features high logistics efficiency and low transportation costs. Additionally, goods enjoy a 70 percent discount on import tariffs, value-added tax, and consumption tax, not only realizing cost reduction and efficiency improvement for enterprises but also providing benefits to consumers.
