Since May 23, Xiaoyue High School in Shangyu district, Shaoxing, has been celebrating the success of its baseball team in securing spots at prestigious universities.

As of now, 11 out of 15 senior members of the Xiaoyue High School baseball team have been admitted into renowned sports academies and comprehensive universities, including Dalian University and Nanjing Tech University.

Xiaoyue High School established its baseball team in April 2022. The team quickly rose to prominence through the hard work of its players under the diligent guidance of their coaching staff.

The team clinched the runner-up position in the U18 category at the 2022 Zhejiang Youth Baseball and Softball Championship. They continued their success by securing second place in the U18 category at the third "Cross-Strait Cup" Youth Baseball and Softball Open in 2023.

Xiaoyue proceeded to dominate the Shaoxing Youth Baseball and Softball Championship U18 category, winning the title for three consecutive years. Their dedication paid off in 2023 when they won the U18 double championships at both the Zhejiang Youth Baseball and Softball Championship and the Zhejiang Youth Baseball and Softball Urban League Finals.

The team ignited a wave of enthusiasm throughout the campus. For young baseball players, the sport is not only a platform for honing their skills and personal development but also a powerful stepping stone towards higher education.

The success of Xiaoyue High School's baseball program is also contributing to Shaoxing's ambition to become a "City of Baseball and Softball," injecting new energy and talent into the local sports community.
