A train with 38 carriages, loaded with small commodities from Yiwu, departed from Yiwu West Station in the morning of July 23 and arrived at Yueqing Bay Port Station in Wenzhou that evening.

The goods will next be shipped to Southeast Asia via Wenzhou Port's near-sea routes. This marks the successful launch of the Yiwu West-Wenzhou Port sea-rail intermodal train.

Yiwu, known as the "world's supermarket", has seen continuous growth in foreign trade, driving strong demand for export transportation. The new sea-rail intermodal train route between Yiwu and Wenzhou creates a new logistics channel, integrating the collection and transportation businesses of both regions and providing customers with a faster and more convenient option for shipping goods overseas.

Additionally, a new model of port and shipping collaboration has been established, combining sea-rail intermodal transport with water-to-water transshipment. This model offers customized export solutions, reducing logistics costs and promoting low-carbon transportation.

The train will operate twice a week, ensuring the efficient operation of the railway channel. By the end of this year, it is expected to achieve a throughput of 1,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.
