A total of 15 Rwandan international students from Jinhua Vocational and Technical University recently visited Jiuhe township in Pan'an county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province for a study tour.
They explored the source of the Wujiang River, listened to century-old Wuju Opera, and enjoyed a local banquet, immersing themselves in the cultural and natural beauty of Pan'an.
Jiuhe township is located in the northeastern part of Pan'an county, with an average altitude of 452 meters and a forest coverage rate of nearly 90 percent.
The township's Sanshuitan is known as the "first village of Wuju Opera at the source of the Wu River." Here, the international students donned Wuju Opera costumes, striking poses with great enthusiasm.
"I love Wuju Opera and Jiuhe township. I hope to come back next time," said a Rwandan student who has been studying in Jinhua for three months, in his not-so-fluent Chinese, showing his appreciation for traditional Chinese culture.
