The Shengsi Islands in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, known as a "Fairy Mountain on the Sea" in China, is an archipelago consisting of more than 400 islands, vast open waters and beaches, and stunning scenic spots.

Named "Zhejiang's Most Beautiful Island Road", the Left Bank Road is the best coastal route for cycling. This 2.8-kilometer scenic road is flanked by lush mountains on one side and rolling waves on the other, offering serene island vistas.

Tian'ao Beach remains an undeveloped gem, as it has not been deliberately turned into a tourist spot. As night falls, a brightly lit food street at the night market emerges along the shore, offering the most authentic experience of the Shengsi Islands.

Jihu Beach is the largest beach on the Shengsi Islands – and all of Zhoushan – making it the top spot for summer water activities. Visitors can partake in a variety of water sports and build sandcastles with their kids.

Known as the "Mermaid Beach", Nanchangtu Beach is a natural marvel with its beautiful shape and soft, clean sand. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely time wading in the water, collecting shells, and catching crabs.

Huayu Reef is perhaps the most underrated spot on the islands, often overlooked due to its remote location. However, it's said to be the best place to watch the sunset, with a chance to witness stunning "burning clouds".
