Chinese painting donation ceremony and celadon concert held in Lisbon

The donation ceremony of the Volumes of the Complete Collection of Traditional Chinese Paintings, along with a special celadon instrument concert, took place at the University of Lisbon in Portugal on Oct 10.
The event was co-organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhejiang University, University of Lisbon, and the Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Paulo Alberto, vice-rector of the University of Lisbon, praised the event, highlighting the fruitful collaboration between Lisbon University and Chinese institutions. He emphasized that this event is a testament to the strong ties between the two regions and expressed hopes for deeper cooperation with Zhejiang universities in the future.
During the ceremony, Zhejiang University Vice-President Huang Xianhai presented the Volumes of the Complete Collection of Traditional Chinese Paintings to the University of Lisbon. A special section in the university's library will be dedicated to house the collection, offering Portuguese scholars and art enthusiasts a chance to study Chinese culture.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the sounds of celadon instruments performed by the Cixi Celadon Music Troupe, reviving the elegant melodies of the Tang and Song dynasties (618–1279). The performance brought Zhejiang's rich cultural heritage to life on the world stage, providing an unforgettable artistic experience for all in attendance.
