Jiaxing launched its first helicopter route connecting Haining to Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Nov 14 at 11:15 am, reducing travel time to just 30 minutes. This marks the beginning of direct flights between Haining and Shanghai.
The route began as a blue and red helicopter took off from the Haining Passenger Transport Center. The route, which was first tested on Sept 23, links Haining Passenger Transport Center, Jinshan Water Airport, and Pudong Xingye Flying Camp, covering 136 kilometers.
Upon arrival at the Xingye Flying Camp, a shuttle to Pudong International Airport makes travel between Zhejiang and Shanghai much easier by offering passengers a more streamlined transportation service.
Chairman Cao Xintian of Shanghai New Sky Helicopter Co highlighted that passengers can enjoy scenic views and take photos during the flight.
This new route is a significant step in integrating Zhejiang and Shanghai's transport networks, offering efficient travel options and demonstrating the potential of low-altitude economic applications. Haining is enhancing its low-altitude economy by exploring innovative projects and partnerships that aim to develop a modern transportation system.
The launch event also included the signing of several low-altitude industry projects, which shows Haining's commitment to expanding its presence in the low-altitude economy. This initiative is expected to create thousands of jobs and drive economic growth for the region.
