Ningbo hosted the 2024 China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Think Tank Roundtable and the China Innovation Tour for CEECs launch ceremony on Dec 2. The event, organized by the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center, focused on fostering innovative cooperation.

The China Innovation Tour for CEECs aimed to deepen technological cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs). The tour will bring CEEC tech talent and enterprise representatives to China for project showcases, visits, and investment talks, creating a platform for direct interaction.

During the event, the Think Tank Alliance for Innovation Cooperation was formally established. This alliance, initiated by 55 organizations from China and CEEC, aims to enhance policy communication, personnel exchanges, and technological learning. The alliance's inaugural office is located at the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center.

Professor Wang Bo, executive director of the research center, said that the alliance includes 15 institutions from nine CEECs and 40 from China. The alliance will focus on strategic research to foster innovation, create an open environment, and improve global tech governance.

Celebrating a decade of China-CEEC cooperation, Ningbo has achieved significant results in trade and cultural exchanges. This conference marks a key step in advancing innovation cooperation.

Jelena Stefanovic from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in China emphasized Ningbo's role as a gateway for Serbian businesses and highlighted ongoing technological cooperation.

Chen Shanfeng, deputy director of the Ningbo science and technology bureau, announced that Ningbo will host the third China-CEEC Youth Science and Technology Talent Forum in 2025, inviting further participation from CEEC experts and innovators.
