The Nanshan Clad in Verdant Hues, a calligraphy exhibition by Bao Xianlun and Zheng Qiping, opened at the Quzhou Art Museum on Dec 17.

The exhibition features 100 works by Bao and Zheng, and will run from Dec 17, 2024, to Jan 10, 2025.

This joint exhibition blends cultural interest with the spirit of calligraphy, offering people a feast of calligraphic art. During the opening ceremony, the two authors donated parts of their calligraphy pieces to the Quzhou municipal bureau of culture and tourism.

Bao Xianlun, honorary chairman of the Zhejiang Province Calligraphers Association, is a contemporary calligrapher known for his impressive skill and rich scholarly background. Zheng Qiping, born in Quzhou, is recognized for his fresh and distinctive brushwork.

"This is my second calligraphy exhibition in Quzhou. The first was in the winter of 2006 at the Quzhou Museum. The Quzhou Art Museum is spacious and offers diverse spatial variations," said Bao.

"Over the years, the cooperation between Bao and Quzhou's calligraphy community has advanced the calligraphic art in Quzhou," said Zheng.
