Umwali Ange Natacha, a Rwandan student studying e-commerce at Jinhua University of Vocational Technology in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, is one of the first students in the China-Africa TVET Cooperation Program to study in China.

Being in the first batch of pilot universities of the program, Jinhua University of Vocational Technology offered two classes on e-commerce and electrical automation technology and welcomed 30 Rwandan students including Natacha this year.

Natacha envisions staying in China temporarily to gain work experience before deciding to pursue further studies or return to Rwanda to start a business selling affordable Chinese goods to Rwanda.

Jinhua's collaboration with Rwanda in vocational education spans over a decade, with the university contributing to the training of 358 skilled professionals in Rwanda.
