Quzhou's Changshan county is embracing a youthful and trendy transformation. The UUG E-sports Club recently established its base here, making Changshan one of the few counties in China to boast a professional e-sports team.
The new base boasts state-of-the-art amenities including battle rooms, analysis rooms, training areas and athlete dormitories – all set against a backdrop of fresh air and green landscapes.
E-sports has been gaining significant attention, especially after its inclusion in the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou, capturing the interest of countless young people. This year, the International Olympic Committee hosted the Olympic E-sports Week, exploring the potential for e-sports to become an Olympic event, further fueling enthusiasm among youngsters.
In such a context, Changshan County Rural Investment Group Co has introduced the team that secured fifth place in last year's King Pro League. According to the club's manager, the name UUG stands for Undefeated United Gamers.
This summer, the team competed under the name Changshan UUG, achieving a commendable fifth place. Throughout the season, local specialties were greatly promoted through various events, offering opportunities to experience Changshan's unique charms.
