A total of 534 major manufacturing projects resumed construction before Feb 12, according to the Economic and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang.
Many companies never stopped. Energy consumption data shows 1,330 key industrial firms kept running through the Spring Festival holiday, averaging 280 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per day — up 14.3 percent from last year's holiday period.
Local governments are also moving quickly to support businesses. Ningbo has already hosted two job fairs, offering 14,000 positions from over 600 companies.
In Shaoxing's Shangyu district — where manufacturing consistently makes up over 40 percent of GDP — officials have introduced 10 targeted initiatives to stabilize production, boost investment, and help firms expand into new markets.
