The University of Nottingham-Ningbo (UNNC) welcomed over 100 international exchange students from Australia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, among others, for the new semester.
To help these students integrate into Ningbo life and promote cultural exchange, UNNC organized unique ice-breaking activities on the evening of Feb 19. These activities focused on cultural exchange through food, games, and artistic performances, providing a window into Ningbo and Chinese culture.
Tatiana from France shared her joy, exclaiming, "Ningbo's seafood is simply delicious!" She had visited Ningbo before and fondly remembered the city's unique marinated seafood. Tatiana looks forward to making new friends and immersing in Chinese culture during her exchange year.
Yekta from Turkiye marveled at how "amazing" Ningbo is, having already walked around the city despite only being in Ningbo for three days. He was impressed by the convenience of dining and the advanced technology used for payment.
Lina from Russia has already mastered using chopsticks. She also mentioned that China and Russia have a long-standing friendship, and she hopes to continue her development in China after completing her studies.
According to Professor Zhang Yulong, UNNC will arrange for international students to visit Ningbo's unique attractions to allow them to fully experience Ningbo's cultural charm and deepen their understanding of Chinese history and culture during their exchange period.
