The 20th Asian Marathon Championships, held alongside the 2025 Jiaxing Marathon, will take off in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 30.

This year's race saw over 74,000 applicants for 50,000 spots. Runners from 23 countries and regions will hit the starting line, ranging in age from 13 to 82.

Jiaxing is weaving its cultural heritage into the event, with 46 exhibition points along the course featuring interactive installations, performances, and historical displays.

Organizers have also enhanced medical support, introducing a new command system, increasing emergency stations to 56, and embedding medical teams with athletes. Additional AED units, cooling sprays, energy gels, and electrolyte drinks will be on hand.

Taking lessons from last year, the race has refined its logistics, with upgraded race kits and finisher packages offering improved quality and selection for participants, according to the organizers.
