Shaoxing's first-ever drone 4S store, part of the "Sky Eye" project, is set to launch in Gaibei town, Shangyu district, following a strategic agreement signed on March 8 between the town government and Zhejiang Cangqiong Technology Co.
With a total investment of 10 million yuan ($1.38 million), the project will be developed in two phases. The first phase focuses on commercial services, featuring a dedicated 4S store for sales, maintenance, and support, which is expected to begin operations by late March.
The second phase will integrate the low-altitude economy with tourism, establishing a drone pilot training center offering aviation education, flight certification, and research programs, ultimately forming an industrial community centered around drones and tourism.
According to Zhejiang Cangqiong Technology, Shangyu presents significant growth potential in the low-altitude economy. "With strong policy support in technological innovation, airspace management, and industrial applications, the sector is primed for takeoff," a company representative stated.
Lyu Peng, Party secretary of Gaibei, emphasized that the town will expand the role of drones in public governance, environmental monitoring, and agricultural applications, fostering the low-altitude economy as a new growth driver for regional economic development.
