Marina, a student from Spain studying at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, recently explored Fenghua district, Ningbo, where she took on the rich and tranquil traditions of Chinese tea culture.

As a passionate admirer of Chinese tea, Marina took the opportunity to engage with local tea artisans and participate in traditional tea ceremonies. Through these experiences, she discovered that in China, drinking tea is not just a daily habit, but a way of life that reflects the values of inner calm, humility, and respect for harmony and ritual.

Coming from Spain, known for its vibrant social culture and love for sharing food and drink, Marina found a striking contrast in the quiet, meditative atmosphere of Chinese tea culture. Yet, despite the differences, she also recognized a beautiful connection between the two cultures by seeing food and drink as a way to build relationships and express cultural identity.

For Marina, her trip to Fenghua was more than just a cultural experience. It became a meaningful exchange, a dialogue between Eastern and Western traditions. Through the simple act of sharing a cup of tea, she found a deeper understanding of how different cultures can connect and appreciate one another.
