The 2025 Yuyao Coffee Life and Culture Week in Yuyao, a county-level city in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, kicked off on April 25, offering a vibrant blend of coffee culture, tourism, and local creativity.
The event, held at the Yuhuangshan Park, attracted more than 80 coffee brands and creative food vendors from cities such as Dalian, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, and Jingdezhen, as well as local businesses. Visitors were treated to a one-of-a-kind sensory experience that merged cultural engagement, entertainment, and creative displays.
"We've prepared a special cold brew coffee set, 'Breaking Shell Yuyao', featuring four different flavors to give people a layered tasting experience," said a staff member from a popular coffee brand from Zhengzhou.
DCM Coffee, a local brand, also impressed with its innovative waxberry liquor coffee, a blend that combined fruity aromas with the richness of coffee.
"Yuyao's innovative spirit is something we want to share, and this event is a great opportunity to highlight the city's culture," said Xu Liaojiong, the brand's representative.
In addition to well-known brands from the city, about a dozen local village coffee vendors gathered at the event, offering a way for visitors to explore local coffee flavors. Creative installations like a boat inspired by Yuyao's ancient heritage, as well as a blend of traditional Chinese opera and live electronic music, added to the immersive cultural experience.
The event also featured a stamp collection activity that highlighted the city's historical landmarks, allowing visitors to connect with its rich history. Organizers distributed holiday vouchers to encourage tourism.
"We're not just selling coffee; we're sharing the essence of our city," said the event organizer.
